Building 3
Trowunna Wildlife Restaurant
Set in beautiful bush land near Mole Creek, Tasmania, the Trowunna Wildlife Park attracts
visitors from near and far including many international tourists.
Kim Clark's architectural designs, both within the park and in the refurbished restaurant,
give visitors a taste of the unusual. Kim's designs mimic natural features and are
attuned to their surroundings.
The entrance way to the restaurant, door and surrounding panels is made from steam-bent
Myrtle wood and 6mm glass.
The large semi-circular window is 5 metres wide and mimics the shapes of nearby blackwood trees
(and is itself made from Blackwood).
