Bus Stop Shelter

The semi-remote valley of Jackey's Marsh has a bus service for local school kids. The bus shelter is constructed from local dolerite stone with a reinforced cement-rendered roof supported on naturally curved timbers and curved dogwood stems.

Curved Bench Seat

Branch wood curves and, in this case, a much contorted trunk of a Silver Wattle (acacia dealbata) lend themselves to the creation of unique furniture. Eucalypt slabs provide the seat surface.

Snake Bench at Christmas Hills

The surrounds of the restaurant are beautifully landscaped and feature a large pond with waterlilies and water fowl. The ambience of the location lends itself to being a place to sit and contemplate while soaking up the serenity.
Treated radiata pine benches hug the curved stone wall and are supported by steel arms set through the wall.
The first of a number of similar benches, using materials that can reliably endure 24/7 exposure to all weathers and still look great in the years to come, this commission started a series of art-in-public-place applications.
